DEDICATION OF A YOUTH
What is dedication?
To dedicate oneself to something is to give or devote oneself, time, effort etc to a good cause or purpose. One may attain this by dedicating his life to helping the poor, sick, needy, less privileged or dedicating oneself to one’s work, studies, etc. So, dedication is the state of being devoted to an aim or cause. Dedication means a lot to some people while it means nothing to others. In some cases, it is a source of sacrifice or deprivation.
A youth is expected to dedicate something to get what he wants in a particular time. But surprisingly, youths find it difficult to do so, they think it’s not worth it.
For instance, in terms of sacrifice, a youth who has stayed for about five years wanting to gain admission into a higher institution is meant to put in all his effort in his studies in order to sail through. If he spends three hours in reading before and three hours with friends, to get his best, he should dedicate more time to his studies then, less time with friends. A lot of people had tried this and they came out with better results.
Therefore, a youth should learn how to dedicate himself to something for a better result in the future.
